The newest brewery in town is holding its grand opening Saturday from 3-10 p.m.

The celebration will include live music featuring Michael McCarthy, food trucks, beer and the brewery’s craft seltzer. Cilantro Tacos, Reggae Shack and Jody Cannoli will be serving food.

Cypress & Grove has all six of its main beers ready to go for the opening, the newest of which is its American wheat beer, as well as a few guest beers on draft. It now has air conditioning and televisions that co-owner Pat Burger said will be used for “sports watching and such.”

“We will still be a work in progress for some time,” Burger said. “But we are making things better every day.”

Cypress & Grove, a new brewery that opened in June, has introduced four new beers and is working on two more to release later this summer.

The beers currently on tap at the taproom don’t have names yet, but they’re all produced by co-owners Patrick Burger and Gary Heil. They have a collective 35 years of experience in home-brewing.

The pale ale is a California-style, single-hop brew.

Cypress & Grove’s India Pale Ale (IPA) was born out of Burger’s desire to make beers that are easy to drink. “Usually you can’t drink more than one or two IPAs in a row,” Burger said. “The hops are there; it’s got a pretty good bitterness unit; at the same time, it’s a smooth beer.”
